DABA 634 Group Design and Statistical Analysis

The purpose of this course is to review and critique seminal research and compare and contrast the advantages, disadvantages, and appropriate applications of group and single subject research to particular research questions. Specifically, this course aims to review and determine when to apply statistical analysis (descriptive statistics, reliability, correlation, regression, factor analysis, non-parametric analysis, analysis of variance, mixed method, and analysis of covariance) and/or visual inspection to describe and analyze behavior. Emphasis will focus on the development of a research prospectus that includes the accurate application of statistical analysis as well as visual analysis, and demonstrate experimental control while simultaneously ensuring generalization of results (i.e., internal validity versus external validity).
