MN4371 Acquisition and Contracting Policy

This course uses case studies and current acquisition issues to analyze government and business acquisition/contracting policies. Emphasis is on acquisition decision making and policy formulation/execution. This course offers DAU equivalencies.

Course Learning Outcomes

·       Develop an understanding of contract management as an organizational tool and part of an organization’s fabric, requiring internal management capacity. 

·       Develop an understanding of important issues, concepts, and potential problems related to acquisition and contracting policy within the federal government.  

·       Develop an ability to manage effectively within the federal environment, with due consideration for acquisition and contracting policy formulation, implementation, and execution.

·       Develop an ability to analyze and assess government contracting processes and policies using established approaches and assessment models.
