Upon completion of this course, a student will be able to:

  • Students will understand the value of physical education as a vital part of a wellness model in an elementary curriculum.
  • Students will demonstrate effective planning formats for writing lesson plans for age-appropriate games, fitness activities, health concepts, and integration of activity into other subject areas.
  • Students will effectively design, plan and implement a wellness plan or teach enjoyable, creative, activity lessons in an elementary school setting.
