ASEP 202 Automatic Transmission & Transaxle*

This course takes an in-depth look at how automatic transmissions and transaxles function. Students will be analyzing transmission concerns on vehicles to determine the necessary action needed. Proper transmission removal and installation will be performed on a functioning vehicle. Students will learn how to properly diagnose and repair automatic transmission/transaxle concerns including hydraulic, mechanical and electrical concerns. Much of the course time will be spent disassembling, analyzing and reassembling transmissions for the purpose of developing the skills and confidence necessary to be successful in this discipline of the automotive industry.

III. Catalog Course Description
