AETC 242 PLC Systems 2

This course is an advanced course in programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Students will expand their fundamental knowledge to include higher level PLCs including integration with systems and higher level processors. Topics include human machine interface (HMI) integration/programming, analog I/O, communication of all types, and integration sensors and systems found in an industrial setting. This course will mainly be project oriented. Prerequisite: FPTC 142 or Instructor’s Permission.

  • Demonstrate basic electronics knowledge in class and lab activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of sensors and instruments by properly using them in a system.
