SOC-305 Death, Dying, and Bereavement

This course will introduce students to anthropological, sociological, and interdisciplinary perspectives on death, dying, and bereavement. Standard topics may include social and cultural framing of death, how we die, funerals, mourning, the afterlife concept, and other topics instructors deem relevant. Students will reflect upon their own lives and deaths through a variety of academic and creative projects.
