POE-298 International Research Methods

This course considers international political economy as a field of inquiry grounded in evidence-based research and argumentation. Emphasis is placed on cross-country and international-level data sets and indices, case study research design, and interpreting descriptive and inferential statistics over hypothesis testing, experimental design, or formal modeling. The course employs an in-class, project-based learning model with supplemental readings and lecture.
