Certificate Programs

The College of Idaho currently offers one post-baccalaureate certificate program in the subject of sport administration.  The College continues to explore other possible areas for post-baccalaureate certificates and hopes to expand its offerings in the coming years.

Admission Criteria for Certificates

The application process for specific graduate certificates may vary depending on the program, but all will require the following:

  • A graduate certificate application for admission

  • A personal statement

  • A letter of endorsement/recommendation

Proof of successful completion of a B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college or university is also required in order to be considered for any of the College's graduate certificate programs.

Requirements for Admission to the Sport Administration Certificate

Submit a Graduate Certificate Program Application for Admission

  • Transcript demonstrating successful completion of a B.S. or B.A. degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Personal statement/essay about your interest in the specific certificate program and how this program enhances professional and personal growth.
  • A letter of endorsement/recommendation, which may be written by a personal, academic, athletic or professional source familiar with your potential contributions to the program.

Applications and admission decisions are reviewed by the Vice President of Enrollment Management and the chair of the Business & Accounting Department, or their designees.

Full-Time Enrollment

Currently, the Sport Administration certificate courses are considered professional development credits. Full-time enrollment for professional development is 7 credits.
