Psychological Development and Education Minor

The psychological development and education minor is designed to give students content in developmental psychology and applications to the educational system. Students will approach human development and educational issues from a variety of perspectives, as appropriate for a liberal arts minor.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this minor, students will be able to:

1) Describe key concepts and applications of developmental and educational topics;
2) Critically engage with psychological science as a source of knowledge for understanding human development and education;
3) Demonstrate effective communication skills in development and education;
4) Practice ethical and social responsibility to evaluate psychological phenomena in a diverse world; and
5) Demonstrate teamwork and project management skills relevant to a career path in education and/or working with children.
