Pre-Physical Therapy Specialization

Completion of this specialization, along with introductory Biology and Chemistry courses, will fulfill the core science requirements for physical therapy schools; however, each school has its own list of course requirements. Students should check the requirements for each PT school of interest. In addition to science courses, students should also take a full year of writing-focused courses (FYS + one ENG course), Math (Statistics), and social science courses (at least one year).

Biology (4–8 credits)

Complete either BIO-159 or both BIO-201 and BIO-202 with their respective lab courses. Please note that either BIO-201L or BIO-210L may be taken as the corresponding lab course for BIO-201.
