BUS-370 Social Entrepreneurship

This course provides an overview of social innovation, including its history and application to both nonprofit organizations, socially minded corporations, and for-profit firms with a social focus. Social entrepreneurial concepts and theories are applied with hands-on projects. Students will work on various entrepreneurial projects using business tools to address societal issues related to education, health care, poverty, gender equality, socioeconomic development, animal welfare, etc. Prerequisite: ECN-200.
