Music Major
The music major provides a grounding of music theory and history. It is supplemented with coursework that contextualizes music within the liberal arts and complemented with applied instruction and performance experience. The major may be paired with either the Music Education (Precertification) Specialization or the Music Performance Specialization for students interested in pursuing graduate study, or careers in music education or performance.
Music Major (35 credits)
Theory Core (7 credits)
Complete the following (4 credits):

History Core (6 credits)
Diverse Voices (3 credits)
Take ONE of the following courses. Once this requirement is met, additional courses from this area may count towards the Music Electives section if 200-level or higher.
