PSY-412 Infants, Health, and Society: Research and Applications

This course examines human infancy from different scholarly and applied perspectives. Students will select topics and use scholarly sources to explore their interests. Coursework will focus on selecting, reading, and evaluating primary sources. Students will present and discuss their new knowledge and complete a term project. Topics might include language and communication development, motor development, parenting and caregiving, environmental effects, neural plasticity, prenatal development, the competent newborn, intervention programs, cultural contexts, or social issues.
