MED 7996 Practicum for Gifted and Talented Learners
Candidates will engage in teaching direct experiences with individual with gifts and talents and work collaboratively with others to be able to analyze and reflect upon on effective teaching practices appropriate for students with gifts and talents. The capstone experience will enable the candidate to demonstrate their knowledge and skill of all NAGC standards. Candidates will complete 200 hours of clinical work. Candidates enrolling in the online course will be required to have a video camera for documenting an evidence-based practice, video conferencing capabilities, and be available for online video conferencing weekly. Candidates will be required to pass Praxis II (Gifted Education (5358). The qualifying score is 157. The test scores must be sent to directly to Wilmington University. If possible, the PRAXIS II test should be taken prior to enrolling in the Practicum course (MED 7996).
