IDS 289 Experiential Education for Interdisciplinary Studies

This course provides students with real-world experiences where they become acquainted with daily workplace operations while enhancing their professional skills and interacting with other working professionals. This experiential learning course places students in the workplace; academic work includes a resume, a job description, a portfolio of work-related material, and a reflective essay. Additional career-related assignments may be added to reach the learning objectives. Students must complete at least 140 cumulative co-op hours for 3 credits (10 hours a week over a semester or 20 hours a week over a block).
