HSC 210 Survey of Behavioral Health Problems

This course provides an introductory exploration of key concepts in behavioral health. Students will examine the biological, psychological, and social factors influencing mental health. Students will gain a foundational understanding of human behavior, psychological well-being, and the various influences on both. Topics include an overview of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the role of culture in behavioral health. The course will delve into common mental health diagnoses, stress and cognitive disorders, and the diverse range of treatment and support options available.
