NAP 8109 Clinical Correlation & Crisis Management in Anesthesiology

This course provides students with an in-depth exploration of the principles of crisis management in anesthesia through a series of case studies and simulation-based exercises. Students will delve into dynamic clinical reasoning, human performance theory, and Anesthesia Crisis Resource Management (ACRM) principles. The course emphasizes applying crisis management and clinical correlation by utilizing simulation, clinical reasoning, and debriefing complex crises in the anesthesia environment. Students will integrate prior classroom and clinical knowledge to minimize risk, develop and implement crisis plans, and effectively manage and recover from critical events.
