NAP 8103 Pharmacology for Nurse Anesthesia Practice

This course provides an in-depth exploration of pharmacology as it applies to nurse anesthesiology practice. It emphasizes the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anesthetic agents, adjuvant medications, and drugs commonly used in perioperative care. Students also explore pharmacogenomics and the importance of cultural context in selecting pharmacologic therapies used in anesthesiology. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the knowledge to apply these principles for safe and effective anesthesia practice.
