NAP 8100 Basic Principles of Anesthesia
This course provides nurse anesthesiology students with a foundational understanding of the essential principles and equipment used in anesthesiology. Students explore the operation and application of anesthetic delivery systems, physiologic monitoring devices, airway equipment, and patient warming technologies. Additionally, the course introduces respiratory physiology, imaging modalities, and imaging safety, ensuring residents are well-equipped to manage and assess patients throughout the perioperative period. Through theoretical learning and practical application, students will develop the basic skills necessary for safe and effective anesthetic practice.
