HSC 6600 Foundations of Community and Health Education
This course focuses on the development of health education and community health skills for health science professionals. This course will explore trends in community health, health disparities, health promotion strategies, and key health education principles. It will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyze health promotion and health behavior organizations. Students will incorporate healthcare marketing techniques, planning strategies, implementation plans, and evaluation assessments of a health promotion program. The learner-based course will enable students to use their critical thinking skills to develop competency in quality assessment and improvement for a target population.
