GRN 7205 Psychiatric Mental Health Application, Management, and Advancement Across the Lifespan

This course builds on diagnostic skills mastered in GRN 7203 and GRN 7204, focusing on psychotherapeutic interventions and comprehensive psychiatric assessment for individuals diagnosed with complex psychiatric mental health conditions across the lifespan. The PMHNP student will gain expanded competency in neurobiological and psychosocial frameworks as a foundation for development of evidence-based and guideline-driven treatment plans. The course also emphasizes the PMHNP role in health promotion, leadership and quality improvement, ethical decision-making, policy advocacy, and interprofessional practice especially as it relates to at-risk and vulnerable populations.
