GIS 6050 Geographic Information Systems in Spatial Security
This course will explore the geospatial security dimensions of Geographic Information Systems and data. The Federal Geographic Data Committee focus on Detection, Preparedness, Prevention, Protection, Response and Recovery, will be examined. Students will be exposed to discussions on operationalization of these areas. Topics will include: critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, disaster recover, law enforcement, intelligence and/or home land security.
