LIT165C Mesoamerican Indigenous/Indigenista Literature

Analyzes literature about and by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica: traces the construction of racialized categories of identity, such as indio and mestizo in Mesoamerican cultures and examines how they interact with definitions of the human that dominate in the West.
