DEDL 601 Global & Historical Perspectives in Education
This course provides an historical foundation and understanding how global educational trends today have been informed by ideas and practices from the past. seminal theories of teaching and learning, benchmarks in the evolution of schooling, and changing notions about the purposes of education will be compared cross culturally over time. By the completion of the course candidates will gain a more sophisticated perspective on today's changing landscape in PreK-12 and higher education across the world.
