SW 471 Spirituality and Social Work

SW471: Spirituality in Clinical Social Work What does it mean to integrate spirituality into one's social work practice? What models and forms of spirituality are appropriate and meaningful today? This class addresses how to best define, integrate, and use spiritual practices that will uphold the integrity and authenticity of the client, community, and practitioner. Readings, discussion, case presentations, and experiential exercises are used to deepen one's comfort level with spirituality in social work practice. Prerequisites: SW401A; SW411A; SW421A or concurrent enrollment. This course meets the requirement for a clinical practice elective.
