LIS 505F Digital Humanities
The Digital Humanities Seminar is an overview of the rapidly emerging field of digital humanities. Among the areas covered in depth are history, print culture, narrative and games, art and music, as well as social sciences such as linguistics and sociology. The course emphasizes information interaction and management and it will include modules aimed at developing skills such with GIS, with the Omeka content management system, and with established and emerging standards such as the TEI and the Open Annotation framework. Because this course will combine students from Yonsei University and from Simmons College cross-cultural issues will be highlighted. This language of instruction is English
