MN3302 Advanced Project Management

This course provides an in-depth exploration of advanced concepts and techniques in program management. Participants will learn how to effectively manage complex programs, lead cross-functional teams, and drive strategic initiatives within an organization. The course will cover various program management frameworks, tools, and methodologies to enhance participants' skills and capabilities in successfully executing large-scale programs.

We will consider modern techniques of project management as found in the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK). Throughout the course, we will emphasize project management fundamentals and tools with an eye towards finding similar themes and applications in Defense Acquisition University material.

While the student must become familiar with the fundamental concepts as put forward by the Project Management Institute (PMI), the ability to understand the interdependencies and cause and effect of each of these disciplines in ‘real world’ applications is necessary to meet a graduate level of understanding the material.
