Course Learning Outcomes

  • Perform basic vector operations (addition, multiplication by scalar, dot product and cross product) and utilize them in geometric and physical applications.
  • Find equations of lines, planes, and quadric surfaces in three-dimensional space.
  • Parametrize curves in two and three dimensions.
  • Compute limits, derivatives, integrals, and curvature of vector-valued functions to describe motion in space.
  • Visualize and analyze curves, surfaces, and regions using Cartesian, polar, cylindrical, and spherical coordinate systems.
  • Apply partial differentiation to solve optimization problems, including unconstrained extrema and Lagrange multipliers.
  • Evaluate double and triple integrals using various coordinate systems to compute area, volume, and mass.
