EDU282 Early Childhood Literature

This course covers the history, selection, and integration of literature and language in theearly childhood curriculum. Topics include the history and selection of developmentallyappropriate children's literature and the use of books and other media to enhance language andliteracy in the classroom. Upon completion, students should be able to select appropriatebooks for storytelling, reading aloud, puppetry, flannel board use, and other techniques for children who are culturally, linguistically, and ability diverse.
