BIOE 102 Intermediate Engineering Design - Biomedical Applications
Biomedical engineering requires applying engineering principles and materials to medicine and health care. This course builds on the Introduction to Engineering Design course and provides students with an introduction to biomedical engineering. The course covers a review of fundamental engineering design principles and connects these with topics of interest in biomedical engineering. Students will explore biomedical engineering applications in ethics, physiological modeling, bioelectrics, neuroengineering, biomaterials, biomechanics, rehabilitation engineering and human performance. Prerequisite: ENGR 101 (3)
