MATH 2710 INTRODUCTION TO DATA VISUALIZATION

This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of data visualization and interpretation of complex data using charts, graphs, and maps, and teach best practices in choosing color and shapes. This course teaches students how to produce appropriate visualizations for various types of data, including univariate, and multivariate, and discover patterns and themes in a large corpus of text data. Students will use up-to-date visualization software tools, techniques, and programming languages.
