PAS 5010 HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY

This course is designed to provide the physician assistant student with a basic knowledge of the mechanisms by which the body functions and lays the foundation for understanding the principals of the etiology, management and prevention of human disease. A systems approach examining the normal function, regulation and integration of human tissues and organs is used to emphasize the complex nature of the body in both health (homeostasis) and disease. An introduction of clinical correlations will be made to apply physiologic concepts to the practice of clinical medicine.
