The minor in Jewish World Affairs at Kean University is an 18 credit interdisciplinary program that can be taken in conjunction with any major academic curriculum. Jewish studies minors develop a skill-set that is attractive to all employers. Especially attractive is the ability to see the world from multiple perspectives and to grasp the complexities of different cultures. Graduates with a Jewish Studies background pursue careers in law, journalism, public service, education, social work, Jewish communal service, and the rabbinate. The Jewish Studies and World Affairs program inspires inquiry into the Jewish cultural interaction with the larger world and is a unique approach to cross-cultural understanding informed by one of our civilization’s fundamental and seminal cultures.
