PAS 6400 SUPERVISED CLINICAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE: ELECTIVE ONE

The first of two required 'elective' rotations, this 4-week clinical experience provides the student with patient care experience in a specific area of interest. This supervised clinical practice experience (SCPEP) may take place in any of the core settings or in a medical or surgical subspecialty practice setting offered by the PA program. Under the supervision of a clinical preceptor, the student will apply knowledge gained in the didactic phase of the program and other SCPs to the care of patients in these distinctive settings. The elective experiences (PAS*6400 and PAS*6500) enable the student to develop and demonstrate their competence in the knowledge, skill and behaviors needed for the transition to clinical PA practice.
