MGS 3501 DATABASE MANAGEMENT IN BUSINESS

Along with the increasing availability of internal and external business data, database design and management play and essential role in the Business Analytics field. Storing, organizing, and retrieving data are required for dealing with massive volume, velocity, and a wide variety of data. Furthermore, if facilitates creating reports for decision making on different levels across the organization. This course provides the students with a solid foundation for database management form a business perspective. The course covers database structure, relational database design, entity-relationship modeling, query formulation, and normalization of database tables to fulfill the business needs.
