MATH 3891 HISTORY OF MATHEMATICS

Survey of major mathematical developments up to the nineteenth century, including the development of the number system, Euclidean and non-Euclidean geometry, algebra, calculus, probability and number theory. Emphasis will be on mathematical concepts from a historical perspective.
