This course is an introduction to advanced statistics with application to nursing science with complex application of intensive statistics to analyze quantitative problems of interest to nursing in culturally diverse populations. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, This course is an introduction to advanced statistics with application to nursing science with complex application of intensive statistics to analyze quantitative problems of interest to nursing in culturally diverse populations. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, binomial normal distribution, parametric procedures, estimation and hypothesis testing, one paired and independent sample test procedures, univariate analysis of variance techniques, correlation, simple linear regression analysis, and discriminant analysis procedures. Statistical software programs will be utilized to analyze data sets.
