BIO 1300 GENERAL BIOLOGY I: CELL BIOLOGY AND GENETICS

An introduction to the fundamental concepts of biological organization, with emphasis on the molecular and cellular levels. Emphasis on scientific methods, the integration of structure and function at the cellular level, and on the underlying biochemistry. This course, in combination with BIO 1400, forms the foundation for Biology majors and for students following the Science Core. Therefore, student must pass both BIO 1300 and BIO 1400 to receive credit for this course. Students are not permitted to enroll in BIO 1300 and BIO 1400 in the same semester.
