CPS 3500 PROGRAMMING THE WWW

This course covers client-server computing with its evolution to web programming. The focus is on the setup and programming at the server side. Various common web frameworks will be covered with emphasis on one or two selected by the instructor, such as J2EE, .NET, RubyOnRails, PHP, Node.js, or Django. Security technologies to protect the frameworks will also be discussed. TYPE OF COURSE: Computer Science Major Elective Prerequisite(s): CPS*2232 or CPS*2240
