NURS 5010 NURSING & ORGANIZATIONAL THEORY & PRACTICE

Analysis of nursing and organizational behavior with an emphasis on theories of leadership. Motivation, learning, team building, quality and safety, organizational culture and staff development will be discussed within the context of nursing leadership. The theories will be discussed in relation to individual differences among staff and client populations. The clinical components of this course will emphasize the development of nursing leadership skills to include designing and implementing care in complex organizations for culturally diverse groups of patients. Required for MSN Students.
