MATH 5500 STATISTICAL METHODS FOR ANALYZING DATA
A course designed to give graduate students with some mathematical maturity basic skills in the use of statistics in research. The course includes the use of the computer to do statistical analysis. Some topics are: review of descriptive statistics; correlation and regression; hypothesis testing for different types of data; distributions of data; estimation. Semester Hours: Three (3). Elective or required, as applicable. Required specialization course for the M.A. in education and the behavioral Sciences, Opetion B; also for the M.A. in Educational Psychology. Prerequisite(s): An undergraduate course in statistics, or the equivalent.
