ENG 5122 WORLD ENGLISHES
Introduction to historical, social, economic, and political factors underlying the globalization of English and the rise of new "World Englishes." Examines structural and sociolinguistic differences among World Englishes, as well as explores issues such as language dominance, standardization, identity, ownership, and pedagogy. Cannot receive credit for both ENG*4122 & ENG*5122.
