FA 5902 CLINICAL PRACTICE IN GRADUATE ART EDUCATION 1: ELEMENTARY
Supervised field experience for graduate students. Emphasis is on lesson planning, curriculum content, and basic teaching strategies in K-5 classrooms. Students spend one full day per week for one semester in an elementary school setting, observing, teaching, engaging in school activities, and exploring the potential of the elementary classroom as a setting of research. Setting is inclusive of formative and special needs learners, and requires 100 hours of fieldwork. Taken in spring semester prior to final year of study. Required for Fine Arts Teacher Certification Prerequisite(s): FA*5015
