Program Description
This Master’s program in Special Education with an emphasis on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Autism is designed for those who is seeking to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This program option provides in-depth knowledge and skills in the application of behavior analysis assessments and intervention strategies for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders as they are being served within their educational placement. The goal of this program is also to provide the required coursework while bridging between the implementation of behaviorism with other disciplines using a transdisciplinary model.
Admission Requirements
In addition to the University’s admissions requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree with a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended
- Three Letters of Recommendation (professional experience)
- An appropriate scholarly writing sample
- Professional resume/CV
- Personal Statement
- Official TOEFL or IELTS score reports
Program Requirements
- 30 credit course sequence
- 9 credits of program practicum
The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.® has approved the following course sequence as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst Examination®. Applicants will have to meet additional requirements to qualify.
