SOC 5030 QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH METHODS

Understanding of quantitative research paradigm and methods including population parameters, sample statistics, sampling distribution, hypo- thesis testing, statistical inferences, measures of association and simple regressions, one way ANOVA, correlation, and stepwise and multiple regression. Emphasis on the application of statistical analysis through the use of statis- tical software. Strengths and limitations of quantitative approach and its potential applica- tion to social agencies, non-profits, and private organizations. Prerequisite: SOC 5050
