PSYD 7431 INTRO TO EVID-BSD PSYC TREAT

A first course in psychological treatment designed to provide the student with an understanding of foundational knowledge and skills required for provision of effective evidence-based psychological treatment. Students will be encouraged to thiink critically about psychological treatment selection and will be exposed to the reange of approaches to individual psychological treatment utilized in contemporary clinical practice, with particular attention and emphasis given to behavioral, cognitie-behavioral, and other empirically supported models. Issues of diversity in clinical practice will be considered and infused throughout the course. Prerequisites: Matriculation in the PsyD Program in School and Clinical Psychology Type of Course: Doctoral Level: Required for students in the PSYD School-Clinical Psychology program
