PSYD 7209 NEUROPSYC ASSESS SC&CL PSY

This course is designed to intorduce students to the foundations of neuropsychological assessment. An orverview of the concept of cerebral localization in addition to a general introduction to the major brain structures and functions will be provided. The foremost realms of cognitive fuctioning and dysfunction will be presented and the student will be expected to develop a basic knowledge and understanding of brain-behavior relationships. The course will include with an intorduction to newuopsycholicgal batteries in addition to exposure to specific, relevant neuropsycholical tests. Application of newuropsychological theories and principles to the appropriate assessment, remedial programming, and school related issues and/or concerns will also be discussed. Prerequisites: Matriculation in PsyD program Type of Course: Doctoral Level: Required for students in PSYD School-Clinical Psychology program
