PSYD 7119 PRO SEM IVa:TECH&EMERG ISSUES

This first curse of a two-semester sequence focuses on issues important t professionals about to enter the field including an orientation to issues in day-today practice and professional development in modern school and clinical psychology with a special emphasis on new technologies available for assessment, treatment and practice management, as well as consideration of emerging issues in the field such as health care financing, professional accountability, psychology as a primary care profession, professional activism, etc.. Special emphasis will be made to integrate these issues into a thorough discussion and monitoring of students' current externship experiences. Prerequisites: Matriculation in PsD program Type of Course: Doctoral Level: Optional for students in the PSYD School-Clinical Psychology program
