Prerequisites: Matriculation in PsyD program Limitation on Enrollment: 12 Type of Course: Doctoral Level: Required for students in PSYD School-Clinical Psychology program Catlaog Description: This second course of a three semester sequence is designed to continue to familiarize students with the role(s) and functions (s), similarities and differences of the school and clinical psychologist is a variety of settings, including: schools, clinics, hopsitals, private practice settings, post secondary education settings, and other alternative service delivery systems. The philosopicla and empirical base of combined and integrative training in school and clinical psychology will be emphasized. Issues that impact the role and function of school and clinical psychologists will also be addressed in this course such as history and foundation of school and clinical psychology, ethics and standards, public policy (including legislation and regulations), ethics and legal issues, professional trends, quality of practice and the organization and operation of schools and mental health settings.
