PSYD 7100 ADVANCED DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY

CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF THE MULTIFACETED INFLUENCES RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DIVERSE OUTCOMES IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT. EMPHASIS ON CONTEMPORARY VIEWS REGARDING GENETICS, CONTEXTUALISM AND MULTI-LEVELS OF DEVELOPMENT. REVIEW OF MAJOR RESEARCH ISSUES AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF DEVELOPMENTAL THEORY. SEMESTER HOURS: THREE PREREQUISITES: TWELVE CREDITS IN PSYCHOLOGY (UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE) INCLUDING THREE CREDITS IN THE AREA OF DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY.
